Iina Koskinen
As the Lead of Research Operations, Iina excels in operational management to ensure research projects at Demos Helsinki run smoothly. Academic research plays a key role in our mission to build a better next era. Identifying the necessary functions to conduct high quality research is essential. Iina makes sure that we have the processes, resources, and capabilities needed to conduct scientifically and societally impactful scientific research in a responsible manner. In addition, Iina works as a senior expert in selected projects.
Iina’s background lies at the intersection of science and policy. She has gained experience on researcher and stakeholder cooperation, for example, at the University of Helsinki. Iina’s studies in philosophy have given her a creative and critical view on the world which she applies in leading transformation.
At Demos Helsinki, Iina has led and designed impact activities in several research projects funded by the Strategic Research Council in Finland and the European Commission.
After-hours, you may find Iina playing a mail carrier, a superhero, or a Roman emperor – whichever role her kids decide is suitable for the game of the day.
