Anna believes in the power of narratives in shaping organizations and societies. She has a master’s degree in theology with a specialization in philosophy and is now working on a bachelor’s degree in technology and information networks at Aalto University. Theology taught her empathy in the face of deep disagreements, and her engineering studies are now equipping her to harness it as a force for change.
Passionate about foresight, strategy, and user-centered design, Anna combines multidisciplinary methods to approach problems. She has previously worked in development cooperation and local employment services, and she’s excited to apply the lessons from these diverse contexts to her work at Demos Helsinki. Her current projects include MERGE, Erasmus+, and KT4D, with topics ranging from Beyond-GDP indicators to foresight and the intersections of AI and democratic innovation.
In her free time, Anna enjoys wandering outdoors and hunting for the northern lights, creating visual art and collecting silverware with a special fascination with proper marmalade spoons and pastry forks. Anna finds antique silverware to be indeed the pinnacle of user-centered product design.
