PEERSOME 2012 was the world’s first conference on peer groups and sustainable lifestyles.
Groups rule the world. Groups breed new kinds of consumers. More confident, more powerful and most importantly more willing to change their lifestyles. Together.
Research suggests that groups impact behaviour most strongly. The focus of PEERSOME 2012 were the people behind the most successful business and research initiatives employing groups in spreading sustainable lifestyles.
PEERSOME 2012 gathered a group of leading international experts and practitioners from the fields of psychology, design, economics, cultural studies, marketing, technology and business to develop understanding of a powerful new way to combine new business and peer groups. PEERSOME 2012 kicked off the Business of Behaviour Change study commissioned by The Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (Tekes), the Finnish food giant Fazer, the gardening and farming products company Biolan and the Foundation for Student Housing in the Helsinki Region (HOAS).
