Yannick Pritschet

Yannick is driven by a vision to redefine the security landscape, advocating for shifting the conversation from traditional “hard security” toward a model centered on human care, social justice and sustainable practices. Colleagues often approach him regarding the intersection of security and human care, where by prioritizing the well-being of all citizens, he aims to build a more inclusive and holistic framework for modern security and climate policy.

Yannick is a Final-Year Political Science student at the University of Regensburg where his academic work focused on international relations, with a specialized interest in Nordic security politics.

Yannick’s work focused on various components of Finnish security and foreign policy. His previous research included Finland’s Cold War policy, hybrid warfare, the handling of instrumentalized migration, and an assessment of Finland’s NATO accession, which was the topic of his bachelor’s thesis. He also maintained a hobbyist blog dedicated to Finnish security policy and its human implications.

In his free time, you’ll find him buried in long book series or glued to a screen watching movies; regardless, he possesses obscure knowledge about a weird, niche movie genre you’ve likely never heard of.
