Anni Saviniemi
Anni is passionate about making sustainability the default in everyday life—an ambition she approaches by focusing on societal and structural changes. She brings expertise in understanding everyday practices, the role of materiality, and how knowledge is produced and shared.
Currently, Anni is completing her master’s degree in sociology at University of Helsinki, where her thesis focuses on the discourses around carbon capture and storage. At Demos Helsinki, Anni has worked on mainstreaming plant-based proteins in LIKE-A-PRO project, and finding pathways towards inclusive and sustainable wellbeing in MERGE.
In her free time, Anni enjoys experimenting with fermentation through homemade kimchi or sourdough bread, or exploring local forests with her dog.
