Linda Marin

Linda wants technology to be helpful. That want is the foundation of her work when building models, automating tasks nobody wants to do by hand, and going through raw data until value is found. She’s just as comfortable explaining what AI means to someone who has never even heard about computers. Going forward, she wants to keep building AI that people can trust and use.

Linda didn’t start in tech, she spent years in interior decorating and retail, learning to puzzle together what people might need from vague descriptions. That instinct followed her into the startup world at Platform6 Startup House, where she saw how fast a good idea has to move to survive. While studying Business Information Technology at HAMK, she led a team of student assistants, learned the basics of responsible AI at the Climate Change AI Summer School, and worked on projects with PIRHA and Kiipula. Right before joining us, she challenged her data science skills at LightningChart.

At Demos Helsinki, Linda has been building our own internal AI-native tools, while also contributing to other projects when her technical skills were needed. 

Outside work, she’s usually rearranging her home or hyperfocused on a sudoku or a puzzle for way too long. Every day she takes a long nature walk with an audiobook playing in her ears.
