Sustainability transformations are inherently complex. How can organisations lean into research, technology, and stakeholder interaction to make better decisions while navigating that complexity? Questions like these drive Rasmus in his work.

Work that connects knowledge with action draws him in like a moth to a flame: be it turning research into usable materials, bringing stakeholders into the same room, or building tools that make information easier to act on. His background in business, Creative Sustainability, finance, and computer science has equipped him with the tools to investigate how organisations can respond to social and ecological challenges while emphasizing both practical judgement and moral ambition.

At Demos Helsinki, Rasmus has supported work on sufficiency solutions in SISU, multispecies transitions in MUST, and planetary boundaries in territorial governance through ESPON TERRBOUND. He has also contributed to work on time-use policy, public-sector automated decision-making, and internal tools that help knowledge and opportunities travel further.

He is interested in unearthing the value in the careful and thoughtful use of AI and other tools: finding where they can genuinely help improve judgement, coordination, or access to knowledge, while making sure that people, institutions, and accountability are always kept at the centre.

Outside work, you might find Rasmus DJing, running, or at the gym, though probably not all at once.
