Myrnelle Cinco

Myrnelle is passionate about the intersection of technology, policy, human rights, and international development. She believes in the transformative power of digital technologies— a power that must be shaped and governed with intentionality to ensure it is rooted in fairness, human dignity, and inclusivity. Right now, her focus is on the new frontier that is Artificial Intelligence. She is in her final semester of her Master’s studies in Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Societies.

Myrnelle has a versatile background spanning data science, research, and policy work across international organizations, the private and non-profit sectors, and academia. Her work has taken her from EU-ASEAN digital economy partnerships, to disinformation studies, and to human rights promotion projects.

In Demos Helsinki, Myrnelle’s work focuses on supporting strategic communications, implementation of the organization’s AI strategy, and research projects on AI, technology, and society.

Myrnelle believes in the beauty of the everyday. Outside of work, you can see her looking for something silly to do with her friends, out on a hike, or dancing to music in her bedroom.
