Finnish education system has been perhaps the best education system in the world. But the world is changing. How can governments ensure people that they are still able to acquire relevant skills and keep learning in a landscape that is changing faster than ever, and is influenced by unforeseen forces such as robotisation and emergence of artificial intelligence?
Finnish Agency of Education has established an Experimentation Office for exploring new paths. Demos Helsinki is supporting the Experimentation Office in planning and running an Experimentation Model. This structured pathway supports teachers to unleash their innovative ideas through partnering up with stakeholders and taking learning beyond the school walls. Expert support delivered by Experimentation Office and Demos Helsinki helps 12 experimentation teams to interact with complex reality, co-develop their ideas further with end-users through rapid iterations and tests.
