Anna Kurth

How can we reimagine city life within planetary boundaries? What governance tools and capabilities are needed to drive this transition? These are the questions that fuel Anna’s work at the intersection of urban climate policy and systems change.

Anna has a BA in International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen and an MPA in Innovation, Public Policy, and Public Value from University College London. Before joining Demos Helsinki, she worked with various nonprofit organizations on participatory and systemic approaches to green transitions in cities.

Outside of work, Anna can typically be found running, painting, journaling, hiking, and exploring her new home city, Helsinki. As Switzerland’s Climate Youth Delegate, she advocates for intergenerational equity and climate justice in international climate negotiations.
