Angela Galeano
Angela’s work sits at the intersection of innovation, learning, and public transformation. Driven by a systemic approach, a culture of experimentation, and a deep sense of humanity, she helps governments become more imaginative, inclusive, and equipped to navigate uncertainty with creativity and care.
Before joining Demos Helsinki, Angela managed public policy and innovation learning initiatives across Latin America and Europe. Her diverse track record includes leading international cooperation projects at Colombia’s Ministry of Education, supporting the OECD on EdTech and teacher-training policy, and designing innovation learning journeys at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Germany. As a consultant, she has coached cities for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Mayors Challenge and partnered with UNDP to design a multi-level governance toolkit for fragile contexts. She is also the host and producer of Futuro Público, a Spanish-language podcast exploring public innovation in Latin America, and beyond.
Whether collaborating with governments, universities, international organizations, or individuals, Angela brings a radical curiosity to her work. At Demos Helsinki, she designs and implements innovation strategies alongside stakeholders driving systemic change—specializing in public sector transformation, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and adaptive governance. Her ultimate goal is to curate environments where people can practice, reflect, and grow their capacity for innovation under real-world conditions.
Outside the office, you’ll likely find Angela listening to salsa and experimenting with analog photography using organic materials, like cheap wine.
