Angela Galeano

Angela’s work sits at the intersection of innovation, learning, and public transformation. With a sharp eye for systems, a strong belief in experimentation, and a deep sense of humanity, she is especially passionate about helping governments become more imaginative, inclusive, and better equipped to navigate uncertainty, with both creativity and care.

Before joining Demos Helsinki, Angela worked on projects across both Latin America and Europe in the topics of public policy and innovation learning. She has led cooperation projects at Colombia’s Ministry of Education, supported the OECD on EdTech and teacher training policy, and designed innovation learning journeys at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Germany. As a consultant, she coached cities for the Bloomberg Mayor’s Challenge, and teamed up with UNDP to design a multi-level governance toolkit for countries in fragile contexts. Angela also produces Futuro Público, a Spanish-language podcast on public innovation in Latin America.

Whether working with governments, universities, or international organisations, Angela brings a radical and contagious curiosity to every collaboration. At Demos Helsinki, she continues to focus on integrating learning into multi-stakeholder public impact initiatives, so that truly transformative solutions can take root.

Recently, she’s picked up a new interest. After hours, you’ll find her in the darkroom – listening to salsa and experimenting with printing her own analog photos using organic materials, including (yes, really) the cheapest red wine she can find.
