Ana Todosijević

Ana brings transdisciplinary artistic methods into policy and systems change. Coming from architecture and new media art, she sees creative practice as a way to explore, test, and question the logic behind how systems work. Ana is the one to approach when ideas need to be turned into tangible forms, whether through interactive concepts, system maps, or experimental approaches.

Before joining Demos Helsinki, Ana worked as an architect while developing an independent artistic practice and co-founding a transdisciplinary art collective. Through her work, she explored how artistic methods can introduce multispecies perspectives and open up alternative ways of relating to the environment. She’s deepening her practice through studies in New Media in the Art and Media master’s programme at Aalto University. 

She has worked on projects that combine technology, data, and critical design. Her work includes interactive installations, exhibition design, and collaborative art–science initiatives, often focusing on non-extractive approaches to data and alternative ways of sensing and understanding environments.

At Demos Helsinki, Ana worked on the Fair Future project, engaging in inclusive climate adaptation in European cities, and on the Timberhaus project, exploring sustainable, climate-responsible approaches to wood construction. 

After hours, Ana can usually be found building things, experimenting with fermentation, or getting lost in the side trails of the forest.
