Aline Amorim Bolis
Aline is a city lover, inspired by the cultural energy, diversity, and creativity that flourish when people share space and ideas. She’s driven by the question of how cities can become a stage for social change and wellbeing. Her focus is on how to promote sustainable urban development that will prepare cities for the challenges posed by climate change, while providing a thriving environment for communities.
Aline holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning and worked in the public sector in urban planning and urban design for four years, designing public parks and buildings, and collaborating in urban development plans. In her bachelor’s thesis, she investigated modern urban development patterns and proposed a human-centric urban development plan for her hometown in Brazil. She’s currently a master’s student in Resource Economics and Sustainable Development at the University of Bologna, where she explores policy design, innovation, and environmental protection for sustainable economic growth.
At Demos Helsinki, Aline has worked on a range of projects, including the REALLOCATE project, supporting cities’ mobility transformation through experimentation and NetZeroCities, focusing on cities’ goals toward a more sustainable future.
After work you can find Aline improving her carbonara skills, or searching for the best pastries in town.
