Calling all urbanists! Flow Festival and Demos Helsinki proudly present: Flow Talks: Urban Life – an inspiring Friday afternoon free to all Flow Festival Friday ticket holders.

Join us for mind-expanding discussions, insightful co-creation and electrifying talks with a set of international urban influencers.

We promise you will never look at your city the same way.

Flow Festival and Demos Helsinki are co-operating for the third time holding the Flow Talks event, bringing together both the festival crowd and urban groups, communities and professionals to join discussions on how to develop urban life. This year the workshop themes  include combining work and home, visions of future homes, how to scale grass roots ideas into million-dollar projects and communal banking concepts for the future. Also the topic of re-invigorating a former bypass area into an exciting urban environment will be addressed.

The themes of Flow Talks will also be discussed by internationally recognised speakers, two of whom have already been confirmed. Sweden’s Gustaf Josefsson, specialised in digitalisation, future trends and change management, will combine science, story-telling and humour in his talk on how technology is shaping humanity and how the future will be built together. Helsinki’s deputy mayor and a former Green member of Parliament Anni Sinnemäki will give her talk about what Helsinki means to the people who live here.

Flow Talks will be organised in Voimala, at the Suvilahti festival area, on August 12, 2015, from 2pm to 6pm.
