The aim of the Kipinöitä! (Sparks!) project is to help intellectually disabled individuals function as active citizens as part of their surrounding communities, use its services and give their own contribution to their respective community. Demos Helsinki pilots the diverse group of experts that develops new, innovative ways to build bridges between these individuals and the community. To gather working material, in the winter of 2012-2013 we carried out a Delfoi-questionnaire that gathered future signals of the development of the status of the intellectually disabled in society. The project is funded by Finland’s Slot Machine Association (RAY) in 2012-2016.
