Sam is a Junior Consultant in the Transformative Governance team at Demos Helsinki.
His interests involve the ethical implementation of emerging technologies such as AI within society, how scientific theories represent the world, as well as the theoretical and practical problems of social justice and political economy.
Before joining Demos Helsinki, Sam has conducted statistical analysis for the UK civil service and organised Amnesty International student groups. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s degree in Philosophy and Public Policy at the London School of Economics. This has allowed him to explore the philosophical foundations of economics and politics, topics he studied for his undergraduate degree at the University of Manchester.
Alongside his research interests, Sam enjoys finding interesting sound textures, creating guitar compositions and taking long rambling walks.
