Jenny Mäki works in the Expanding Agency team.
At Demos Helsinki she is currently focusing on the role of technology in society and public services as well as the future of urban transport. Her professional interests include
- The future of democracy
- A fair and equal society, especially the relationship between gender and law
- Citizen-government relations and the possibility for citizens to take part in societal discussion.
Prior to joining Demos Helsinki, Jenny has gained professional expertise as a Legal Trainee at the Parliament of Finland where she prepared reports within Parliament dealing with various areas of both national and international legislation. Jenny also has worked as an Intern at the Permanent Mission of Finland to the UN in Geneva where she concentrated on arms control and human rights. Jenny holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Helsinki and is currently finalizing her Masters. Jenny also studies Politics and Communications at the University of Helsinki.
In her free time Jenny likes to go to the gym and spend weekend mornings reading Magazines and drinking coffee.
