Janne Rinne
Janne is a sustainability enthusiast with extensive experience in environmental policy, sustainability transformation, and project management.
Janne’s background is a mix of research and hands-on innovation projects. Working as a researcher at the Finnish Environment Institute, he acquired a broad perspective on environmental policy and governance. At the innovation company of the City of Helsinki, he led several urban sustainability and mobility projects, in collaboration with European cities, private companies, and residents. Having worked at the Compensate Foundation and a sustainability consultancy company, Janne is aware of the fast-evolving regulatory landscape of corporate responsibility and voluntary carbon and nature markets.
At Demos Helsinki, Janne supports cities in their climate governance as part of the NetZeroCities project.
Outside office hours, Janne spends time with his family, plays sports and, occasionally, experiments with electronic music.
